when accelerating a ringing sound begins unless at a high rpm

you'll have to see if it increases with engine speed or not. Does it do it in neutral or park? Or only when driving car. It could be something from the accessory drive meaning alternator etc. if it does it at neutral/park the disconnect the belt to see if it stops
