my car is not burning or leaking oil and is driving fine. I am due for an oil change and within a month have had to add oil twice.

Most manufacturers will tell you that using a quart of oil in 1000 miles is not odd. How many miles were put on the vehicle between adding and how much was added?

How much was added? If it was less than a quart, that isn't too far out of the norm.
