how do i fix a bad idle problem?

i did a stock engine swap and now the car has a bad idle.

Scan the computer for code/s -Clean the idle air control valve and see what happens

it runs good when you get on the gas but at idle its bad so would i have to bring it to a dealer for them to do something with the computer?

Might just have to relearn the idle speed due to battery disconnection during the swapping

how could i get it to re learn the idle by driving or just let it run for awhile?
