Car (2008 Saturn Astra) smells like it is overheating but no warning indicator on control panel. Only happens in winter even when no heating on in car... Engine hot to touch. What can cause this? We've checked all fluid levels.

Does your coolant boil over or your temp gauge read over heated?It would over heat worse in the summer if it as really overheating.
