ENGINE LIGHT ON?

i had this problem last year as well, but the light went off, now the light has come back on and stays on. no proton tells me it can be that the oil level is low, i have checked it, but that's not the case. any answer as to why it keeps coming on?

Yes, the computer has a trouble code stored int eh computer, probably an engine misfire code, anyway here is a guide to help us see what's going on.
