2008 Pontiac G6 Seeing sparks

When starting the car i see sparks coming from the lower front of the car. Not sure if its the starter or something else

Not good. The starter is located in the front facing the radiator. Open the hood, make sure there are no shorted wires, then have a helper turn the key to start while you CAREFULLY watch for where the sparks are coming from. Looking from the top, the starter is below the exhaust manifold.

Glad to help. One other thought. Make sure the power supply from the battery to the starter is tight and clean. Also, if you are going to work on or around the starter, make sure to disconnect the battery.
