peugoet 407sw keeps cutting out

nobody seems to know why my 407sw 2.0hdi keeps cutting out it only happens when i'm slowing down for lights or junctions i noticed today there is a orange dust all over the engine help!!

I don't know where you are located, but orange dust is usually from dried out coolant. As far as the engine, check for vacuum leaks and check to make sure the IAC is working properly.

IAC stands for idle air control. It is a solenoid that is responsible for maintaining engine idle.

On the throttle body (where the carb would sit on an old car).
