So I was just driving the car.. turned it off . Went inside a store was in there for like 10 mins... Icome back out and now when Iturn the key... it won't even try to turn over... there is a hight pitched whine.. nothing more... it started right up... not even an hour ago... and now I'm dead in the water... what could it be??

it may be the starter drive on the starter motor has broen or is stuck. the whine is probably the starter motor free wheeling
