My car has been a handful lately. About 3 weeks ago i hit a curb on the front right side of the car. Right after that my car started making a noise. Turns out I spun 2 rod bearings. I took it to a mechanic and he replaced all the rod bearings. I picked it up today, and when i was driving my car home..i noticed a smell. The inside lights of my car were low and my car started making a bad smell. I got out and checked the engine and it was extremely hot. I dont know what to do.

When engine is cold, remove the radiator cap and check the coolant level.

Check the charging system and drive belts.

Get back to the guy who did the job, most likely he forgot to put something back in order.
