Sometimes when I get back into my car after I've turned it off, I go to restart it and I can't turn the key. I've turned the steering wheel in the hard direction and sometimes the key will turn and start the car. Other times I've had to shake the gear shift and steering wheel to release the key. The Lexus dealer can't seem to find the problem once it is unlocked. Is there a fix that has been identified for this?

You are probably in the habit of leaning on the wheel when getting out. If the wheel is pulled in either direction while being shut off, it will lock with pressure against the lock. Pulling back and forth on the wheel while turning the key should release it.
