2008 Kia Spectra stall?

The engine starts every time and then prompty cuts out...no sputtering or hesitation...just stops within 5-10 seconds...still has electrical power and will start again...just to die again...happened first time while driving. had it towed to the dealership and they are telling me it's the AC compressor that has seized up...doesn't make any sense to me.

Does it do this with the AC off? Has the check engine light come on? Have you checked fuel pump pressure? If you remove the serp belt, can you turn the AC pulley by hand?
