When ever my vehicle is put into reverse it shudders like crazy it doesn't do it in drive. The transmission was replaced but it still does the same thing the new transmission was put of a wrecked vehicle & the dealer said that it normally does that. It doesn't sound like something that would be normal do you have any suggestions on what it could be and a general price it would be to fix.

Not normal at all. I think it is the torque converter causing the shutter. Get a second opinion from another trans shop.
A used unit is never a good idea as the history is never known and there is no warranty.

CHECK ENGINE AND TRANNY MOUNTS---SOMETIMES THEY LOOK FINE UNTIL YOU SORT LIFT UP/ OR MOVE THEM--- ON THE ENGINE OR TRANNY, THEN YOU MAY SEE TEARS, SEPARATIONS, OR EVEN FLOPPY LOOSE MOUNTS

LET US KNOW WHAT YOU FIND
