Check blower motor fuse no.82 30amp, HVAC relay no.87 and the fuse built into the blower motor resistor.

Disconnect the blower resistor and check for charred terminal on pin F(ORN wire). If it is charred, you need to replace the connector body, terminal, and resistor. The resistor is under the rh side of dash, has a red flat 5-6 pin connector.

There's a sensor inside the housing of the blower fan under the dash. It went bad, so I replaced it. When I pulled it out the mateing connectors had melted. Why isn't this line fused properly? Is there a recall? Now it has gone bad again 6 months later.

Thanks,
Kevin

It melts because of the high resistance at the poor connection. Ideally the terminal should have been replaced. It is surprising, with the number of these seen, it has not had a service bulletin. You can either get a patch harness with leads, that replaces the connector using crimp and seal connectors, you can get an HVAC extension harness, or you can get the red connector body, lock, and a new terminal to crimp on the wire.

When I turn on the climate control in the vehicle, nothing is coming out of the vents. The fan in the engine compartment is working, but nothing is coing out of the vents. I have checked relays and fuses but still have not ascertained a fix. Any suggestions?

The blower fan is not in the engine compartment, the blower is under the passenger side of the dash. If it is not operating, I would pull the red connector from the resistor and inspect. The quite possibly is some obvious heat damage from a poor connection. Repair involves replacement of the resistor, connector body and terminal. Or, there is a harness available that encompasses that connector as well as others. It would be through GM.
