OK, the blower resistor went out about a month ago so I ordered a new one. In the meantime my wife continued to drive the truck. She would press the "snowflake" button on the control panel and the compressor would come on causing cold air to ooze through the vents. She then hit a deer. The impact punctured the condenser losing all the refrigerant. I noticed that now when you press the "snowflake" button on the panel the light blinks and goes out and the compressor clutch does not engage. I tried jumpering the low pressure switch then pressing the "snowflake" button and the compressor clutch still didn't engage. I have ordered a new condenser, but my worry is that after I replace it and add the Freon that the compressor will still not engage. I guess my question is there any other switch that would hold out the compressor besides the low pressure switch? If so I will take a chance and put it all together.

There is a relay as well as switchs but until you put Freon and evacuate the system then you can damage the compressor by trying to force it on. So fix the system first then make sure you evacuate it prior to installing Freon because with an open system moisture has gotten in to it and if you don't evacuate it then you are going to have real problems. Also replace your drier.
