Car pulls back when hitting 3,1/2rpms

Just got a new spec clutch put in on my mustang an a hurst short shifter it works well but the problem is when I hit 3,000 1/2 rpm the car pulls back an like it wants to die the engine please help.

Check the exhaust system for restriction,fuel pressure, and TPS and MAF sensors
