i was driving on the motorway doing about 70mph when i tried excelerating it wouldn't move it felt a bit as if the car was hesitating. however i could speed up but i would have to press the throtle gently sometime i could floor it. the car starts fine the air filters fine. the clutch feels a bit funny i could hear a rattle from the left side of the engine but this had been happening for a long time the hesitation is more recent. its a ford focus 1.8 tdci 2008

Sounds like your clutch is slipping have it further checked by a transmission specialist
