my ford focus 2008 OBD-II system indicator light stays on and i my battery is repeatedly dying but a scan indicated no problems what should i do

Get the battery fully charged and load tested, and get the alternator charge rate checked if it is around 14.5 V max that is ok. under 13 V there abouts and you will have a problem with the alternator.
