Why would I have a problem with pumping gas in my Ford f250? Regarless how fast I pump the gas or how slow I pump the gas, the pump cuts off every dollar or so of gas pumped. It takes many attempts to fill my tank. Tks. Henry

For fuel to enter the tank, air has to escape. There is a vent that is designed to allow the air. On the 08, I believe it is attached through the EVAP system and not vented through a seperate vent connected to the filler tube.

Now, here is what I need you to do. Since this deals with gas fumes, you can argue with Ford that it is emissions related. There is a minimum of 5 years or 50K miles 100% warranty on any emissions related component wheather it is fuel related, sensor related. They should have to fix it for free unless it was damaged by off roading or something beyond Ford's control.

Contact your dealer and tell them what is happening. The fuel tank isn't venting to allow you to fill the tank, and that you feel it should fall under the emissions warranty. See if they will help you. Let me know what you find.
