ON OUR 2003,

YOU MUST REMOVE A PROTECTIVE BRACKET AROUND IT (IT IS LOCATED ON THE DRIVERS SIDE FRAME, FOLLOW FUEL LINES TO IT)

THEN YOU PUSH OUT 2 FORKED PLASTIC CLIPS OFF OF EACH END

COVER UNIT WITH A RAG, OR YOU WILL GET "FUEL SOAKED" BECAUSE THE SYSTEM STILL MAY HAVE PRESSURE ON IT

NEVER DO THIS ALONE! ALWAYS HAVE A "STRONG" (NOT A RUNAWAY!) PAL ON STAND-BY WITH A FIRE EXTINGUISHER HANDY!

OBSERVE THE CONNECTIONS WELL AND LOOK FOR A DIRECTIONAL ARROW OR "IN and "OUT"---PRIOR TO REMOVING THE CLIPS----IT GOES BACK IN REVERSE ORDER--INSURE DIRECTION IS CORRECT AND CLIPS ARE FULLY LOCKED IN.

IT IS A REALLY EZ TASK!

IT MAY TAKE A FEW "ON--OFFs" WITH YOUR KEY TO PRIME THE SYSTEM BACK UP.

REMEMBER THIS WAS A 2003 ESCAPE!--YOURS MAY NOT BE EXACTLY THE SAME!

A REPAIR MANUAL WOULD SERVE YOU WELL FOR THINGS LIKE THIS!

LET ME KNOW HOW IT TURNS OUT!
