Lost power while driving now when put it drive makes a noise and does not really move

I was going to work when I lost power then if you see the picture it did that at first, but I was still able to drive but was going really slow. I pulled into a parking lot and turn it off, then started it up. as soon as I put it in drive it made a mad noise and I could feel my car shake when I was pushing the gas. it didn’t really move. any ideas what it could be? did the same thing when I put it in reverse.

This could be a a few different things going on here. So, first, can you please check the engine oil and the coolant level for us and get back to us with what you are able to find out.

The coolant is good. didn’t check the oil. what kind of things could be going on?

Hello again,

It has been my experience that when a car loses power and dies then it could be a lack of oil causing bearing failure. It could also be something as benign as a bad connection on the battery causing problems, or a corroded connector on the crankshaft or camshaft sensor. So it's going to be a process of elimination, and I was just checking to see if your vehicle might of overheated or if there is a lack of oil causing bearing issues. If you could please check your vehicle's engine oil on the dipstick and get back to us with what you find out, we can rule out that and move on, or confirm it and go from there.
