Why does clutch pedal. Not return after long. journey have replaced. Master slave, not wanting. To change slave if not the problem due to expence

There will be air in the system, try bleeding first, but if there is fluid under the rubber dust boot of the slave, the slave will have to be replaced as it will be leaking as well.
