2008 Dodge Ram Power steering fluid

I have a minor leak in my power steering cooler. Can I use regular power steering fluid in my dodge ram 1500 hemi. I have used MAX ATF automatic transmissionn fluid before and the manual says to use MOPAR ATF+4 Automatic Tansmission Fluid. I am planning trip about 250 miles, 500 round trip woud this be a problem as long as I have power steering fluid to refill the resovoir. Do I add the power steering fluid directly in the resovoir.

ATF can have different properties and you generally want to use the same kind as the manufacturer or something that meets the same requirements. You will have to get that of a bottle of the MOPAR fluid.
