2008 Dodge Charger water coolant outlet/housing

I installed a water coolant outlet/housing and after I ran the coolant/water the purge stem that u close once the coolant starts comming out, well the coolant water mix is still leaking out the stem once I closed the stem/valve. What could be the problem

it may have a small piece of junk in it shut car off and remove screw then reinstall see if it shuts down then if not replace it.
