My car bucks or engages harsh when I shift the auto stick into reverse or drive.I performed an OBD2 scan on it and retrieved codes p0741(freeze frame), p0700, pending p0741 and pending p0700.I cannot afford to pay a shop for repairs at this time.

Sounds like TC circuit is malfunctioning or TC itself has a problem.

They told me it might be the transmission. They removed the cvt oil pan to check for metal filings but no significant amount had been noted. They told me that it might be the transmission control module.I replaced the battery and noticed that the neutral safety switch has been marked with a yellow line. Does the transmission control module need to be reprogrammed?
