The car listed above is a Coupe Base model.

This car also had a Multiple Misfire Code, But Cylinder # 1 Appeared more than once on the scanner, so I replaced that coil, and that stopped the multiple misfire stuff, now I'm just reading P0040. The person I got the car from (2 weeks ago) informed me that he already replaced the oxygen sensors when this happened. I took the splash guard plastics off of the bottom, I can see the 4 Connectors for all the 02 sensors, I unclipped each one, inspected the pins, I blew out the female sides with a spritz of canned air. You can tell by the way they are routed that they aren't crossed. I don't even think they'd make it to connect from one bank to another. Both Cats are operating at normal temperatures. I have no idea where to go from here. Let me know any information you need I'll reply with it ASAP! Thanks so much In Advance!

So, I would check the engine wiring harness where it outputs the oxygen sensor wires. If they installed the engine, they had a 50/50 shot of getting them right, this is a common problem with German cars.

P0040: O2 Sensor Signals Swapped (Bank 1 Sensor 1 / Bank 2 Sensor 1)

I would feed the wires back up and out and then swap the leads and feed them back down. This would be for the primary oxygen sensors. Let me know how it goes.
