I replaced my brake pads a week ago but now realize I need to replace my rear rotors as the steering wheel shakes when I brake. I cannot get the rotors off. They seem to be frozen on. I have tried everything I can think of. WD40, Rubber hammer, etc. They will not budge... Any advice?

Hi,

Replacing rear brake pads isn't too hard to do. If you plan to keep the vehicle, make sure to get lifetime parts so you never have to pay for them again.

You can expect rear pads to last approximately 30,000 miles. However, that will vary based on driving habits and terrain.

To get you started, here is a link that shows in general how it is done. You can use this as a guide.

Also, here is a video of the job being done on a Dodge Caliber. Although it is a different model, the procedure is very similar.

IF you look at the attachments below, I included directions and pictures specific to your vehicle for brake pad and rotor replacement.

I hope this helps. Let me know if you have other questions.

Take care,

Joe
