A light on the dash that looks like an engine came on today before I changed the oil and afterwards it went out. But since then when I go to start the vehicle the ignition seems to hit a dead spot with nothing no clicking or lights like its totally dead then it will start in the same key turn whats going on ?

Get a scan done to see what trouble codes have been stored.

You could gave a fault with the ignition switch.
