I want to upgrade my exhaust system but I am not sure the right route to go. I would like it to have a more aggressive tone. But I do not know that I want to spend the money on true duals. I was looking at the flowmaster super 40's. Would it be worth having it dual out or should I just keep it with the single pipe? Any thoughts on what would be better, Flowmaster or Magnaflow?

Series 40 is loud, but "drone" during highway speeds. Im diehard magnaflow, all stainless, sounds nice too. I would save up and get a complete bolt on kit. Again, this is only my opinion, what you decide is up to you.

For the bolt on kit, do you think it matters if you go single or dual out?

It shouldnt matter. Just matters ultimately what your style is. The bolt on kit will include everything needed for what you choose.

I am still shopping around but I have decided to go with the bolt on. I like the thought of it already being pre-fabed. I just dont want to take it to a shop because I know how much I will get overcharged. So looking for something I can do myself.

Never heard of them. Trust me. If you decide flowmaster, do not go with a series 40! Series 50, maybe. Magnafl(ow in my opinion is the best all around bolt on kit your going to get. Its a bit pricey, but worth it. If I can persuade you, dont go with a flowmaster. Unless its a friday night street car where all you want is noise, magnaflow will be almost as loud, wont drone on the highway, and is stainless steel. Did I mention it is a simple bolt on kit! Hahaha. Save up some money, get the magna-flow. Believe me, you will be glad you did.

Alright I think you might have me convinced haha. With the bolt on kit, does it get rid of the resonator? If not, is it illegal to get rid of it?

Im not sure. I believe it depends on the kit. The resonator isnt illegal to remove. Its the catalytic converter you cant remove. You dont have to worry about that, since the kit you install will be after the cat.
