I got carburetor fluid on my car's rear and near the trunk and was wondering if I could get it off. When I scratch it with my finger nail, it appears to come off, almost as if it has developed a thick film. Is there any way I can get it off. If not just tell me I'm screwed lol.

"Carburetor fluid" is gasoline which evaporates. I'm guessing it's something else you're trying to remove. What would that be?

There's two types of carburetor cleaner. The only thing you can buy at an auto parts store comes in spray cans and will evaporate very quickly. The older stuff came in one or five-gallon pails and was extremely corrosive. If you stuck your arm in the pail, it would come out with just the bone! I'm pretty sure you can't buy that stuff anymore in the retail market because it was so dangerous.
