warning lights stay on

2008 CHEVROLET IMPALA

came home to dead battery. Jumped it fine, but light stays on saying "check battery recharge system". Also the check air bag ight came on and stays on. This is a 2008 Chevy Impala.

First, how many miles are on the vehicle? It may still be under warranty. Second, have you recharged the battery? Finally, have you had the alternator and battery tested?

Only 15,000 miles. But it is 38 months old. I did let it run for 1/2 hour, turned it off and ir started right back up. I did not have the battery or alternator tested.

Chances are the battery ran low from not being used. If the problem continues, have the battery tested. Also, have any other lights come on now that it is restarting?
