What is the problem when the check engine light is on?

The car is giving this message "ENGINE POWER REDUCED"I TOOK IT TWICE TO A CHEVY DEALER. THE FIRST TIME THEY SERVICES THE FUEL INJECTION SYSTEM. THE SECOND TIME THEY REPLACED THE THROTTLE BODY ASSEMBLY, BUT THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS STILL ON. NOW THERE IS A HORRIBLE RATTLING SOUND COMING FROM UNDER THE HOOD. CAN YOU GIVE ME AN IDEA WHAT IS GOING ON WITH THIS CAR.

you could stop at auto store and get codes read? how does it run now? i mean did they let you have it back running poorly and noisy?
