As I was taking of really fast, the clutch got stuck like if I never released it. After there was a smell like burning plastic

sounds like a malfunction with the throw out bearing. it may require replacement of the assembly. get a shop to check the clutch and verify. get a bid for the repair as well.

yes,I think you need to address it before you do further damage to the clutch or transmission.
