Car just started leaking oil profusely.

My daughter's Chevy Cobalt is leaking oil, the mechanic said it could be a transmission pad. What is that? She is stuck in Florida on vacation.

are we sure it's transmission oil? that usually is the cooler lines that leak/break.

She could have ran over something on that style car the oil ons and trans pan are vary open to damage from road debris.

did she actually have it looked at or is it stuck somewhere? could be repaired right where it's at. my local craiglist has mechanics that come to you.
