2008 chevy Cobalt Jerking

2008 CHEVROLET COBALT
4 CYL • FWD • AUTOMATIC

2008 Chevy Cobalt,******** while sitting at stoplights, accelerating. I have changed the gas brand to Shell and put in heet and fuel line cleaner and it still does it especally when gas tank is less than 1/4 full. What could be the issue?

Is the service engin light comming on? Chevy has a few tech bulletins for different running problems, and even a PCM reflash, so codes are important, Autozone will read them for free, post all codes found here.

no modification to the engine, Jiffy Lub changed out air filter.

could a dirty fuel filter be causing this? My wife had almost let the car's fuel tank run empty one day and this seemed to start after that?

Yes if you click on the link to the cheeck fuel pressure, it explains all that. The other thing is to recheck that air filter, Jiffy lube leaves a lot to be desired...
