My transmission will not go into reverse. prior to failure, it suffered from lack of power when accelerating from a stop. EDC is P0756. Translates to Shift solenoid B Performance or stuck off.

Where is the solenoid, and it is something I can do at home?

The solenoid would be in your valve body under the transmission side cover depending on your skill level of working on cars would determine if you could replace it yourself. Sometimes you have to lower one side of the cradle and tilt the cradle. To move the cover far enough over to replace the solenoid. I would make sure the solenoid is bad before going thru all the trouble of replacing it.
