2008 Cadillac CTS replace engine rods

if your rods are destroyed make sure they are first. they may not be. this is best left to a pro to do. also you can get a used motor from a junkyard as well lot easier.

i have checked out a used motor and they all run 2k and over

it's not going to be cheap for that one either to repair it.

ok, i did found the correct rods which i use 6 came out to under $100 usd, i already have all the tools and have a friend who i have a bit of experience with engines..if i change the engine am looking at aprox 3k since the shop wants 1500 to change it

pull the valve covers it sounds like an upper end problem. what is your oil pressure with a manual gauge? it may be a rocker arm/cam lobe worn or something like that if it sounds like the video

also to add my car always alert me when me oil needs to be change and it alerts me at 3% when this happen it was at 13%... the car power was cutting when i was driving back from my trip when i first hear the noise
