I have a rear-drive car with run flats on the alloy rims. Am I better off getting another set of alloys for snows versus using the original equipment alloys. I have to contend with tire pressure monitors. What's best for me to do?

Get the snow tires mounted on whatever the correct wheels are for your car and if the run-flat monitors aren't resettable with the snow tires on, so be it. How many years did we get along without TPM. I would say the snow tires are needed, and the safety factor is an acceptable risk to run for a couple months without the TPM system working, it will not stop the car from running.
