Car cut out while driving and isn't pumping diesel from lift pump can be seen running of external fuel pump.

What is the repair for this? Will it be a new fuel pump or something more complicated and expensive?

Thank you

That is hard to say, you need to test to see if the fuel pump is getting power when the engine is cranking over, here is a guide to help you and the color wire you need to test to the lift pump.

Wire color - Red/blk

There is also a fuse #1 30 amp in fuse panel C I would check as well. The fuel pump is run by the FPM which is under the right front luggage compartment, I would check that out as well.
