My power windows door locks stopped working along with the sunroof. The key operates the locks so they have power but the switch does nothing. All fuses tested and are fine. Same thing on passenger side. I must be missing something. The fuse location is not very easy to understand so I just went through them all. Any help on this issue very appreciated.

I suspect you have an issue with the BCM and not just a related fuse. The BCM controls each of these systems so the BCM has a couple fuse protected circuits but then the BCM takes that voltage from those fuses and routes it to the system it needs to. I attached the wiring diagrams that show the lock and window system which have switches and actuators in common however, when you add the sunroof in, the only thing in common is the BCM.

So it is possible that we have two issues. However, we need to start with checking for codes. Here is a guide that helps with that:

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/checking-a-service-engine-soon-or-check-engine-light-on-or-flashing

Let me know what codes we have and we can go from there. If there are no codes then we will need to start testing voltage coming from the BCM and go from there. Thanks

Okay, I'll check codes but I remembered one other thing I did do is have the garage put the window up. They said they did some kind of bypass or override to roll it up when the master power switch went bad and I couldn't get the drivers side to go up. Before that everything worked locks sunroof and passenger side window. My girlfriend took it to them so I do not know what exactly they did but that's what they told her. Could that have caused the issue or is it just a coincidence? Either way I'll get the code reader and check that next. Thank you again.

That is interesting. This would actually support the issue with the windows and locks. However, I don't think it will solve the sunroof issue. I suspected this was the issue with these two but hopefully we have some circuit codes to support this. Even if we don't, I think that is more then enough to go on to replace this switch.

I think you misunderstood my reply. I have already replaced the switch. That's why I posted to begin with. Now that I have a new switch it's not working. As I said before replaced it I had the mechanic roll the window up. At this point everything stopped working. Now that I put in a new switch it doesn't work and I've checked all of the fuses. They're all fine. I'm guessing it's something the mechanic did to cause the problem but I'm going to do as you said and check codes to see if I can figure it out that way.

Okay. I am sorry. I did misunderstand that. So did they replace the switch and then jump the connector with the new switch installed or he jumped the switch to roll up the window and replaced it thinking that was the issue? Lastly do any of the windows or locks work with any switch?

No they rolled it up before the switch was replaced. No nothing works with the switch. Only the locks work with the remote. Before they rolled up the window my sunroof worked and even though the driver side window wouldn't work the passenger side did work and the little lights worked on the master switch. After they did whatever they did I'm getting nothing via the master switch. Hopefully that makes sense.

Okay. It does make sense. Is it possible to call this shop and ask how they jumped the window motor to roll up the window? If they jumped voltage directly to the motor then I may be wrong but I am thinking the BCM circuit board is shorted.

Clearly codes will help confirm this or we will need to start checking voltage coming from the switch and BCM.

I found the issue. So I bought another switch and the one I bought is driver auto only but my car is driver and passenger auto up and down. I got it because it said it was a G trim which that's what the original says. Can I make this one work by doing something or do I have to get the double auto? I paid for this one with no return policy.

Disregard the last reply. I ordered the correct switch. Sorry for wasting your time. It was all my fault. I was just unsure of there being a difference. They both said G so I assumed it would work. Thank you so much for your time and help.

Haha. No waste at all. I am just glad you got it figured out. Lord knows I have done this exact same thing a number of times and it can really throw you off what the issue is. The worst is when you order the correct one but they send a failed part so you assume it is not it because you replaced it.

Thanks for the update. Please come back in the future. We are here to help. Thanks
