Which side and do you have halogen or bi-xenon headlight bulbs? That makes a huge difference.

I am pretty sure they are halogen. Thoughts?

To replace left side you need to remove the air cleaner housing to access the the bulb socket. For the right side, remove the washer fluid filler neck. Use some needle nose pliers to twist the socket counter clockwise to remove.

What was the outcome? I have to replace side marker light bulbs on a 2007 Volvo S60 2.5T. Both sides are burnt out and I cannot get to either one. Was removing the air cleaner housing to access the the bulb socket on the left side a success? And removing the washer fluid filler neck also worked on the right side? Rich
