HI PLEASE I WANT TO FIND OUT IF THE BRAKE LIGHT SWITCH IS DAMAGED ON THE CAR, CAN IT CAUSE THE GEAR BOX TO HAVE PROBLEMS. LIKE WHEN MOVING EVERY THING GOES WELL BUT WHEN YOU REMOVE YOUR LEG FROM THE PEDAL(SPEED)ITS LIKE JERKS OR LETS SAY TRIES TO CUT THE SPEED DOWN VERY FAST. SO PLEASE KINDLY ASSIST MW PLEASE. scan for codes first.then have a trans guy check fluid level and condition.

Yes i did scan with an original toyota machine and it stated brake switch.but can that cause what is happening to the car.

i kind of doubt it that the bake switch would cause that. only thing to do is replace it and see if it fixes it If not have a trans guy check it, cold be a valve body problem or wiring issue
