I recently had to have the alternator replaced on my 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser. The mechanic said it was due to a undersized replacement battery that I had had installed in December last year (2010). Is this a plausible explanation? I was intending to go back to the place that replaced the battery and at least get my money back on that

Yes possible battery rating is important too low CCA ALT will work more to keep up needs in car and fail sooner
