2007 Toyota Highlander Battery light on

replaced alternator,now engine will not start. Had battery checked lights,radio,and clock do not come either ,can you help me out

Are the battery terminals clean and tight? Have you checked the battery cables? Are you sure everything is reconnected correctly? Have you checked the main fuses under the hood?
