Engine vacuum test is similar to testing vacuum leak in intake manifold? can it tell about the vacuum leak in intake manifold?

Yes it will show a leak in the manifold, but it will not physically locate it, you can listen with a hose for a hiss, or brush a little fuel around (be very careful doing this) and listen for a rev pick up as it draws in the fuel.
