Manufacturer that are selling CNG fitted vehicles claim that CNG as a fuels increases engine life, while mechanics claim that CNG reduces engine life and its effect is most prominent at engine head. I want to knw wt carpros say abt it.

These day no, it won't as a rule, modern engines are built for non leaded fuels they use harder seats and valves, LPG or CNG as you call it over there, is dry which on older leaded engines tended to hammer valves, you can opt to use an upper cylinder lube additive to the petrol as well this will not hurt at all.

Try not to use CNG 100 %. Spare some time for gasoline in order to lube the valve seats.
