toyota corrola ce 1.8 fuel pump problem

The car would run for one minute then shuts off, when off for 2 minutes then starts. I think there is a problem with the fuel pump. I took the fuel pump out and tested it works. now what could be the problem. is it an electrical problem or the fuel pump is dead.Thanks

Check fuel pressure when the problem occurs. See if the plugs are receiving spark when the problem occurs.
