I can hear a noise coming from one of the wheels

When I am backing out of garage I can hear a noise coming from one of the wheels while on the brake what is causing the noise and how dto to the brakes?

The sound might be metal on metal noise from the pads being worn out contacting the brake rotor. Here is a tutorial on how to remove and replace rear brake pads and rotors:
