2007 Toyota Avalon Just Bought This Car Three Days Ago Driven Fine Until

I just bought this car three days ago. Has driven fine up until tonight. I went up a slight incline to a red light. Stopped to wait for the light to change. While sitting I smelled a strong oil smell and upon acceleration the car sputtered and lost some power. I pulled into a gas station and it was blowing a lot of smoke out of the exhaust. And ideas where to start looking? Thanks!
