I have a 2007 toyota 4runner with lights out on the temp control lights. How do I gain access to the light bulbs? I assume it's bulbs, not fuses but not 100% sure.

If you open the little compartment below there is a single screw. Remove that screw and then gently pry the whole control unit out. There is a harness on the back so disconnect it being careful not to damage the connector. You will see there are tiny bulbs in the back that can be ordered from a Toyota dealership near you. To remove the bulbs just twist and pull out. They are very tiny so be gentle. I am 100% positive of this because I own the 2007 4 runner and had to do this just the other day.

If you look on the corner of the middle image you can see where I removed one of the tiny bulbs. There are lots of them for the temp controls and the display screen.
