I have a 2007 4runner 6cyl 2x4 with 116,000 miles, serviced every 5,000 miles ie lube, oil, and filter. Mainly highway miles. Should I have a major preventative maintance done? Transmission flush, plugs, brake fluid, timing belt, fuel injection flushed? I heard that you shouldn't touch the transmission seal unless it's nessecary as this could lead to leaks? Have not had any problems and would like to run another 116k with no problems. Thanks

GONNA THROW YOU SOME LINKS TO MY FEELINGS ON MAINTENANCE

https://www.2carpros.com/questions/2007-ford-taurus-tune-up

HERE'S ANOTHER

https://www.2carpros.com/questions/1995-gmc-jimmy-after-changing-out-stoplight-switch-wont-transmission-shift

I CONSIDER EVERYTHING I HAVE DONE TO BOTH OF MY JEEPS AS MAINTENANCE

EVEN THE RESTORATION OF "WILLY" WAS BASICALLY CATCHING UP ON MAINTENANCE NEGLECTED BY THE PREVIOUS 92 YEAR OLD OWNER

I DRIVE "MR. JEEP" (35 YEARS YOUNG) DAILY AND "WILLY" (66 YEARS YOUNG) MAYBE EVERY THIRD DAY (GIVE OR TAKE AND THE SITUATION)

I DO ALL OF MY OWN WORK, EXCEPT FOR WHEEL ALIGNMENTS

I AM A.NAL WITH MY UPKEEP AND ON MANY THINGS I PERFORM TASKS, BEFORE IT'S TIME

I SPEND AN EXTRA $7-$10 ON A QUART OF OIL STABILIZER FOR EVERY OIL CHANGE I DO. I BUILT BOTH ENGINES IN THE MID 90s---I'D NOT BE SCARED TO JUMP IN EITHER ONE AND TAKE OFF TO THE PACIFIC COAST....IF SOMEONE BOUGHT MY GAS!.....I'M IN S.C.!
